Rural Hospital Stabilization Program

The Rural Hospital Stabilization Program identifies needs of the rural hospital community and provides potential solutions. It works to increase the flow of communication between hospitals and the state, and improve Georgia citizens’ access to health care.

The Rural Hospital Stabilization Grant Program is currently in the seventh year of funding. Phase 7 participating hospitals are: Candler County Hospital, Colquitt Regional Medical Center, Donalsonville Hospital, Elbert Memorial Hospital, Evans Memorial Hospital, Irwin County Hospital, Jasper Memorial Hospital, Jefferson Hospital, Liberty Regional Medical Center, and Wills Memorial Hospital. The awards distributed for Phase 7 total $9 million. The Rural Hospital Stabilization Grant Program Phase 7 funding period is June 30, 2022 through August 31, 2023.
