Sound the PhishAlarm!

An email with an attachment pops up in your inbox, and it looks legitimate – the subject line states that it is an urgent message, possibly from the Office of Human Resources. You should probably open the attachment immediately, right?

Wait one second! Before you click on that file or anything else in the email, keep those principles from our quarterly cybersecurity training front of mind.

See this button  to the right?

If you suspect an email may be a phishing attempt or otherwise possibly a conduit for malicious software, sound the PHISHALARM! The PhishAlarm button can be found in the ribbon on the upper right side of your Outlook email inbox.

Simply clicking the button will alert Georgia Enterprise Technology Services of the suspicious activity and remove the email safely from your inbox.
