HI-BRIDGE Solutions
The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act authorizes a Health Information Technology Extension Program that includes more than 60 Regional Extension Centers around the country. These centers have been established to support health care providers to become adept and meaningful users of electronic health records (EHRs).
HI-BRIDGE Solutions, formerly known as GA-HITECH, is the National Center for Primary Care's flagship for its work in the health information field. HI-BRIDGE's mission is to use a community-oriented approach to assist health care professionals, as well as small and rural hospitals, with the selection, implementation and meaningful use of certified EHR systems to improve clinical outcomes and the quality of patient care provided.
Group purchasing plans and technical assistance are available to all eligible providers participating in either the Medicare or Medicaid Georgia Promoting Interoperability (PI) Program (formerly the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program).
