State Loan Repayment Program (SLRP)

The Georgia State Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) helps eligible health care professionals—including primary care, behavioral health, and oral health providers—repay qualifying educational loans in exchange for providing care in communities with limited access to health services. The program strengthens Georgia's health care workforce while improving access to quality care for underserved populations throughout the state.

SLRP provides loan repayment assistance to eligible physicians, dentists, dental hygienists, behavioral health professionals, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other qualifying clinicians who commit to serving at approved practice sites. Award amounts, eligibility requirements, and service commitments are determined by current program guidelines and available funding.
