Office of Government Relations
The Office of Government Relations is composed of Legislative Affairs and Constituent Services.
Legislative Affairs staff's primary responsibility is to work with the General Assembly and analyze bills that affect Medicaid, the State Health Benefit Plan and health care in general. The staff is also responsible for ensuring the passage of the department's legislative agenda each year.
Constituent Services staff serve as the customer service agents for DCH. This staff interacts daily with members, providers, legislators and others helping Georgians understand the Medicaid and State Health Benefit Plan programs, and the department's business functions. The Constituent Services team responds to calls, emails, letters, faxes, and inquiries relating to the department’s various divisions, offices, and programs.
