Trudie Nacin, Division Chief, State Health Benefit Plan

Trudie Nacin is Division Chief for the State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP) within the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH). As Division Chief, she provides strategic leadership, direction and oversight of the SHBP. Additionally, she is responsible for plan enrollment and maintenance, assistance to the covered employers under the health plan, management of vendors providing services to SHBP, clinical management, and wellness programs.

Prior to being named Division Chief of SHBP, Nacin served in several positions within the division, including Deputy Division Chief, Director of Operations, Director of Medicaid Eligibility and Manager of Review Services.

Nacin also worked in the private sector in insurance and benefits. Her expertise includes operation management, health care benefits, strategic planning, partnership building and team leadership/mentoring.

A graduate of the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fla., with a bachelor of arts degree in social science, Nacin received her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Brenau University in Gainesville, Ga. She was inducted into Pi Alpha Alpha in 2006, a national honor society of public affairs and administration professionals.

Raised in Plant City, Fla., Nacin is an active member of the Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM) and the State and Local Government Benefits Association (SALGBA).
