GREAT Health Program

The Georgia Rural Enhancement and Transformation of Health (GREAT Health) Program is an initiative of the Georgia Department of Community Health's State Office of Rural Health designed to strengthen the long-term sustainability of Georgia's rural healthcare system. The program supports rural hospitals, healthcare providers, and community partners through strategic investments, technical assistance, and innovative approaches that improve access to high-quality health care for rural Georgians. By fostering collaboration and supporting evidence-based solutions, the program helps rural communities address evolving health care challenges while enhancing the delivery of essential health services.

The GREAT Health Program focuses on advancing health care transformation by supporting initiatives that improve quality, strengthen financial and operational performance, expand access to care, and promote collaboration across the rural health care continuum. Through partnerships with health care organizations, state agencies, and community stakeholders, the program works to identify and implement sustainable solutions that improve health outcomes and ensure rural communities have access to the care they need.
