Mental Health Parity Information
What is Parity?
The easiest way to understand parity is to think about it meaning “equality.”
What Does Mental Health Parity Mean for You?
Federal and state parity laws were created to protect consumers with mental health and/or substance use disorders. Parity laws make sure certain types of health plans cover mental health and substance use disorders as fully as other health issues. Georgia’s mental health parity law is HB1013.
