Folsom is also the Chairman of the Dublin-Laurens Development Authority.  Additionally, he is chairman of Fairview Park Hospital Board of Trustees, having served on this board for a number of years.  Folsom serves on the Board of Directors of Farmers State Bank located in Laurens County and also is elected to the Board of Governors of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. 
 
A graduate of Valdosta State University with a BS in Biology, Folsom then completed graduate studies at The University of Georgia.  He has also completed various certificate programs in pharmaceutical and hospital management areas.  He is a former Regional Director with the Lutheran Healthcare System, Chicago. 
 
Folsom resides in Dublin and is active there with his company and in assisting with recruitment of industry to that area.
