Dr. Rucker received her Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) from Perimeter College/Georgia State University (formerly GA Perimeter College/DeKalb College), a Bachelor of Science (BSN) degree and Master of Science degree (MSN) in nursing from Clayton State University; with an emphasis on nursing leadership. She furthered her education by completing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of South Alabama.

Dr. Rucker holds board certifications through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Nurse Executive (NE-BC) and Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN-BC). She is an active member of the American Nurses Association (ANA), Georgia Nurses Association (GNA), and the American Holistic Nursing Association (AHNA). 

In addition, Dr. Rucker is a strong community advocate and has served the community of Hall County as a member of the Hall County Library Board, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer and as a volunteer promoting healthcare at a local elementary school. Dr. Rucker has a deep passion for outreach to the underserved and for closing gaps in healthcare disparities.
