Georgia Department of Community Health’s Lynnette Rhodes Named 2025 “Women of Influence” Honoree by Atlanta Business Chronicle

Lynnette Rhodes, chief health policy officer for the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH), has been named a 2025 “Women of Influence” award recipient by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The annual award honors women who are making significant contributions in their industries, organizations, and communities.

Selected from nearly 300 nominations, Lynnette is one of 21 women recognized this year for her leadership and impact.

“It’s an incredible honor to be recognized as a Woman of Influence alongside such a distinguished group of women and leaders,” said Lynnette. “Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to service and creating space for others to thrive and be empowered to use their voices to drive meaningful change. I’ve had the privilege of working with dedicated teams who share that same purpose, especially in our efforts to advance policies that improve health outcomes and access for all Georgians. This recognition reflects that shared dedication, and I’m proud to continue supporting the important work we do every day at DCH.”

With more than 20 years of service at one of Georgia’s lead health agencies, Lynnette has played a key role in shaping health policy and programs that affect millions of residents. She previously served as Director of Legal Services and Executive Director of the Medical Assistance Plans Division. In her current role, she leads health policy and operations, leveraging her legal expertise to shape strategy and deliver impact.

Before joining DCH, Lynnette served as a senior public defender for the City of Atlanta.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida A&M University and earned her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2001. She has been a member of the State Bar of Georgia for over two decades.

Lynnette will be honored alongside 20 other outstanding women at the Women of Influence ceremony, taking place on October 9, 2025, at The Dogwood at Westside Paper in Atlanta.
