DBHDD, DCH Announce Approval of Historic Medicaid Provider Rate Increases

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) and the Georgia Department of Community Health jointly announced that the New Options Waiver (NOW) and Comprehensive Supports (COMP) waivers amendments have been approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The approvals will allow DBHDD to provide historic Medicaid provider rate increases to serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Work to actualize the amendments is underway, and the rate increases will be retroactive to July 1, 2024.
