About HITT
The Office of Health Information Technology and Transparency (HITT) is responsible for leading the strategic efforts of the State of Georgia for health information technology adoption and health information exchange to improve healthcare delivery for providers, healthcare professionals and consumers.
The responsibilities of the Office are:
- To develop Georgia’s HITT 2, 5 and 10 Year Strategic Plan
- To implement Georgia’s strategic initiatives for health information technology adoption and health information exchange
- To accomplish the vision of the Governor’s Executive Orders to establish a statewide strategy to enable health information to be readily available and transparent
- To support the HITT Advisory Board
