All Influenza Hospitalizations and Deaths in Georgia

CDC has asked states to report either laboratory confirmed hospitalizations and deaths or syndromic cases, i.e. cases of presumed influenza and/or pneumonia based on ICD-9 coded hospitalizations or death reports each week. These will be reports of all influenza and pneumonia-related hospitalizations and deaths, not just those due to 2009 H1N1.

H1N1 Hospitalizations and Deaths in Georgia

Prior to March 14, 2010, DCH was reporting H1N1 hospitalizations and deaths that reflected a reporting timeline of Wednesday – Tuesday. Tobe consistent with CDC reporting, we are now using the MMWR reporting timeframe Sunday-Saturday. Please note that this update does not change the state's total numbers of H1N1 hospitalizations and deaths. The DCH Web site will be updated each Tuesday to reflect the prior week's influenza-associated hospitalizations and deaths. Data are subject to change based on reporting delays.
