DCH Extends Prescription Refills to Medicaid Recipients in Hurricane Affected Areas

Due to the potential impact of Hurricane Irma as forecasted by the National Hurricane Center, a state of emergency declared by Governor Deal and the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA) has been issued. Georgia Medicaid has allowed for Medicaid recipients in the following counties of Appling, Atkinson, Bacon, Brantley, Bryan, Bulloch, Burke, Camden, Candler, Charlton, Chatham, Clinch, Coffee, Echols, Effingham, Emanuel, Evans, Glynn, Jenkins, Jeff Davis, Liberty, Long, McIntosh, Pierce, Screven, Tattnall, Toombs, Treutlen, Wayne and Ware Counties to ease restrictions on early refills of their prescriptions.
