Georgia “Pathways to Coverage” 1115 Demonstration Waiver to Enter 30-Day Federal Comment Period

The Georgia Department of Community Health is pleased to announce that the Georgia “Pathways to Coverage” 1115 Demonstration Waiver submitted on December 23, 2019 to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has been reviewed. After CMS’ preliminary review and in accordance with the requirements of 42 CFR 431.412(a), CMS has determined that the state’s application meets these requirements for a complete application.

The state authorized this Demonstration by provisions in the Patients First Act (O.C.G.A Sec. 49-4-142.3) signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp on March 27, 2019. The goals for Georgia “Pathways to Coverage” are to improve access, affordability, and quality of healthcare across the state of Georgia.
