Volunteer Recruitment

The success of the Georgia Volunteer Health Care Program (GVHCP) stems from the commitment of volunteer health care professionals and lay individuals who donate their time and services to assist persons who would otherwise have no access to health care. The GVHCP needs your help to continue addressing the health care needs of underserved, low-income populations across the state.

Below is additional information on how to join our invaluable team of volunteers:

Health Care Professional Volunteers

The State of Georgia extends sovereign immunity protection to participating providers, making the State solely liable for any injury or damage suffered by a patient receiving health care as long as the provider works within the scope of his/her agreement with the GVHCP and within the limitations of his/her professional license. Lay volunteers donating time to support such services are also covered.
