CON Thresholds

New Baseline CON Thresholds became effective on July 1, 2008.  The Baseline CON Thresholds are as follows:

1. Equipment Threshold - $1,000,000
2. Capital Expenditure Threshold - $2,500,000
3. Single-Specialty, Physician-Owned ASC Threshold - $2,500,000
4. Joint Venture ASC Threshold - $5,000,000

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 31-6-40(a)(2) calculation of Certificate of Need Capital Expenditure and Single-Specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center thresholds is made using the annual percentage of change in the composite index of construction material prices published by the United States Department of Commerce for the preceding calendar year commencing on July 1, 2009.

Pursuant to O.C.G.A.§ 31-6-40(a)(3) calculation of Certificate of Need Equipment threshold is made using the annual percentage of change in the consumer price index published by the U.S. Department of Labor for the preceding calendar year commencing on July 1, 2010.
