Primary Care Office (PCO) Programs
Assists communities improve access to primary health care in Georgia's rural and urban underserved areas. Notably, through the Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) Designations program, the PCO helps communities apply for federal designation for assistance with recruiting of health care providers.
Hospital Services Program
Provides technical assistance/resources to rural hospitals to continue health care services to Georgia's rural residents.
Migrant Health, Homeless & Special Projects
The Georgia Farmworker Health Program (GFHP) was created to improve the general health status of Georgia's migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their families.The Health Care for the Homeless Program provides primary health care services in Atlanta at such sites as shelters and soup kitchens.
