Joint Letter of Support for PeachCare for Kids™ and the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP)

On August 28, 2007, Dr. Rhonda Medows, Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH), delivered a letter of support for PeachCare for Kids^TM and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) to President George W. Bush and members of Congressional Leadership.  Over 100 representatives from the Georgia Health Care Community and Advocates for the programs signed the joint letter of support, underscoring the importance that PeachCare for Kids^TM and SCHIP have on children’s access to quality health care and ultimately their well-being.

The letter states support for:

1. Reauthorizing SCHIP
2. Appropriate funding to address the costs of health care; and
3. Addressing the federal formula flaw.
